As we continue to grow, we want to ensure that our human-centered design approach to construction and remodeling re-centers the community’s ability to exist in safe spaces that celebrate their unique ideas.

The vision of Minnie Pearl Properties centers on ensuring safe and equitable access to short- and long-term housing for those invested in living in Chicago’s south side communities. Historically, those from intersecting minoritized communities have been prevented from home ownership by way of redlining, and other forms of systemic racism. Our goal is to not only rebuild Bronzeville and the surrounding neighborhoods, but to keep ownership within reach for those who’ve been denied previously, specifically focusing on supporting the needs of those who identify as Black within the community.
